Genealogy Day – August 27, 2016

Hello, and welcome to the Louisville Free Public Library. My name is Joe Hardesty and I’m your Kentucky History and Genealogy Librarian. It’s my pleasure to invite each of you to Genealogy Day 2016, the Library’s signature conference for those interested in local and family history. Learn how to trace your German ancestors, discover what life was like for your ancestors during the American Civil War, and find out how to preserve those precious family documents and much, much more. Starting off our day together is keynote speaker and University of Louisville Archivist, Tom Owen. In fact, Genealogy Day has something for everyone, so be sure to mark your calendar today for Saturday, August 27th. Visit our website at lfpl.org and search “genealogy” to learn more about this fun, fact filled day and come on down to the Main Library.
