Meriem shares her Family Tree Clinic experience

I’ve seen ISIS come into my own home town. I’ve seen people getting killed and getting
beaten up because they are who they are. And like you’re not welcome and then you’re
going to die if you’re gay, lesbian, if you get pregnant without getting married, if you
get STDs, if, they don’t even wanna listen. You’re just gonna get killed or just gonna
get kicked out of there. So, the first day I made it to America, I
was like there must be something that will happen that will make me realize that I should
stay here and stick to this place and hold onto Minnesota. And Family Tree Clinic is one of those things. Now I know that I want to hold on. Forever. Yeah.
