November 9, 2013 Reply Cori M When you say "essay format", you don't mean a traditional English essay, right? No thesis required, etc? I'm in AP Bio 30 (grade 12) this year, and how my school does it is: first semester – regular biology 30 class, second semester – all AP curriculum. We haven't started the AP material and after watching this, I feel worried. November 16, 2013 Reply Sarah Wagner Is it true that they re-formatted the the test again for spring 2014? If so, will you do a video on the new exam? November 22, 2013 Reply Straight-Twisted Very helpful, my AP biology teacher made it a grade to watch this for a quiz and i'm happy I watched it. And now I know where to go if i need help i'll watch the other videos. January 9, 2014 Reply midnightdolphin2 I looked at some of scoring rubrics for the free response, and if it says "1 point for appropriate explanation" and there are 4 bullets, do you have to get all 4 bullets to get the 1 point? March 5, 2014 Reply Athena Ortega So helpful. Thank you March 14, 2014 Reply Tiffany Shoham Mr. Anderson, I went to a workshop this year for AP Readers and they will no longer have over 10 points in the free responses.-Mrs. Jones March 21, 2014 Reply applered22 the subtitles don't match what you are saying but thank you for another great vid 🙂 March 22, 2014 Reply Claudia Santana Can you write on the booklet like highlight and stuff? or that would be a problem April 30, 2014 Reply Sebastian Hernandez this was helpful. I do online homeschooling so it's all online but I'd like a real textbook to read from. What do you guys use in school? Thanks in advance 🙂 November 9, 2015 Reply Марко Јовановић I read you guys complaining… and its funny. I was in U.S for 2.5 years and I haven't studied at ALL and was an Honor Roll student every single time. Schools overseas, here in Serbia are 10x harder than US school. Second year of high school, and we study every step of evolution from Sponges up until humans. Structure, way of life, habitat etc. Physics? Thermodynamics, fluids and Electricity. So on and so on. Not to mention that we study HISTORY of art and music. we don't sing and draw. If we can manage to be A level students here, you can rock those AP classes no sweat 🙂 January 10, 2016 Reply Froyo.Pouya Man, I just wish that the thing wasn't timed. I could easily pass any standardized test with limitless time because I can't comprehend questions that quickly. I don't see the benefits to adding stress by making it timed. That doesn't say how much you understand the material, just what you could spit out in a small amount of time that isn't the best of your ability. August 25, 2017 Reply Shane D. After watching this video I learned that the AP exam is comprised of a multiple choice and written response section that each represent 50% of the total score that are 90 minutes each. The multiple choice section will have four choices for each question and a gridded section. The written response section gives 10 minutes for reading and 80 minutes to respond to the prompt. -Ania Ty September 4, 2017 Reply sergio peterson Is the test still the same for this year?
