Also, I am adopted so it would be nice to know what countries are my birth family from. (I was born in Korea) . To find out what diseases run in my line would help my daughter know what possible risks she would have August 31, 2019 Reply Ueki aka john Whitworth no as someone who works with DNA sequencing i would advise against DNA test. they go into an highly unregulated system. meaning for the right price y the DNA service could sell that info to anyone with out you even knowing. August 31, 2019 Reply AJs Vape Shack Can you tell us where you got the test from, Me and my wife would love to do a test August 31, 2019 Reply Mia Lemon Sorry guys, I can't get through this one. The science of genetics and how we process food is fascinating to me, but services that claim to "unlock how you're supposed to eat" are just too gimmicky and bullshit. Besides that, it mysteriously follows all the current guidelines for nutrition. And I'm not saying less meat, adding complex carbs, and extra veggies is a bad thing. Only… Every one knows that and no one needed an expensive test to tell them. Or worse, be sold an expensive test that promises better and delivers nothing. August 31, 2019 Reply Zara Horvath This video pulled me through my Biology GCSE August 31, 2019 Reply Shawn Ruebel Hello and good morning from a small town in central New York! I think that this is amazing and I’m baffled as to why it has taken so long for this to become an option to potentially improve one’s health. I would love to be able to do this and I am interested as to what specific test this was and how to purchase it. Thank you!!! August 31, 2019 Reply Richelle T Moorreeeeeee August 31, 2019 Reply fedos The "detoxification" bit is how you know that this scam product is light on the science. August 31, 2019 Reply Elijs Dima Less smoking, roasting, charring; more cruciferous veggies; more onions/garlic; less simple, refined carbs; less salt; small doses of alcohol (like wine) in moderation; use well-aged cheeses… Guys this is generic health food advice, not unique things August 31, 2019 Reply Nan Zingrone fascinating; I do want to do one, and my husband and I are both doing low carb diets and our Type 2 diabetes is improving and we're both losing weight, so yes, that would be interesting to know what might be the DNA behind that, if there is an easy-ish answer to that August 31, 2019 Reply Hedge hog "Moving forward". August 31, 2019 Reply N I would lov to try it !!!! it's soooo exciting August 31, 2019 Reply Max Jenkins-king Well you can change genetics, stuff like GMO crops and things like insulin are produced on mass by modifying genetics and stuff August 31, 2019 Reply natasa don I have Indonesian apparently through my dads side. September 1, 2019 Reply Katy Atkins i would love to do this!! it would be really cool if you did one for all the guys September 1, 2019 Reply puddingball Most people would do well to reduce charred foods, as charred bits are carcinogenic. Also, most people would do well to increase their alium and cruciferous vegetable intake, as they are rich in nutrients and antioxidants that help fight cancer. Also everyone would benefit from trading in simple sugars for complex carbs, as it helps with cardiovascular health, has a smaller insulin response, etc. This DNA test means well, but gives 80% the same advice to anyone, I would think. Knowing if you're lactose intolerant isn't worth this test I think September 1, 2019 Reply xEmpty.Abyssx Please do the rest of the guys!!! September 1, 2019 Reply Maxx B You guys lost all credibility the moment you mentioned detoxing. It's just marketing wank. Your Liver, kidneys and spleen do all the detoxing you need. What you meant to say was "we're going to give Jamie a balanced diet" based on the coincident that people from different parts of the world have some similar genetic markers. (The DNA services don't screen for people emigrating or similar, so it's not an accurate picture)The video was okay though. I don't know that it would 100% change my eating habits for all time, but I can see that I would make some changes here and there. I find it interesting that the food you made Jamie is food that he likes anyway, so I wonder how much of a role our DNA plays in the types of foods we crave. September 11, 2019 Reply Maggie Morehouse I refuse to give away such personal information, as my DNA, to any of these companies. Once you give away personal information, you can't get it back. Off topic James <3 September 12, 2019 Reply Sage Danielle Ilagan The science is hokey but the content is satisfying. I like the effort that went into making something (within their parameters) but still something he’d like. September 13, 2019 Reply Gregory Kyi For Jamie, I have a love of all things steak! what I did for my diet was add more veg to my meals. and instead of the more posh or premium cuts that I LOVE, I go for the leaner cheaper cuts that require quick cooking… an example that I tried and use now is when I rest a lean cut say flank steak (or feather blade) or even FLAP MEAT in 2 tbsp of beef stock, which to me gives a beefier flavor. I serve it with wilted rainbow char that has been sautéed in beef fat(1tbsp) garlic and dried or braised collar greens in bacon(about 4 strips of bacon[streaky bacon]) finished with lemon or lime. and you can use the resting juices as a sauces just reduce it in about 1/2 tbsp of butter. September 25, 2019 Reply Ami Edelen Hi! My other and I LOVE your channel. She’s such an adorable super fan and you are the only channel she talks about all the time. Also, we all (my sisters included) have similar DNA results to Jamie. We have found that we do very well in a keto diet (and get to have steak and bacon!!), losing weight and feeing physically better with our chronic illnesses. It reduces our inflammation and pain. We also all have issues with our MTHFR genes being mutated and supplementing with methyl B vitamins goes around these issues to help our problems with that as well. Hope he finds a way to love a ‘diet’ that’s best for him. September 25, 2019 Reply nintendoa3 I would love to know mine September 26, 2019 Reply Kaelle Allen Raisins? RAISINS??! I have a disorder that causes my brain to forget to tell my stomach to digest. Because of this, fermentation happens in my stomach often. So I have to reduce my intake in fiber, whole grain, raw fruits and vegetables and so much more. It would be interesting to see if a DNA test agrees.
